Kathryn Guarini
She / Her / Hers
I have spent over twenty years in the technology industry, first as a research scientist and later as a business executive. Today I am IBM’s Chief Information Officer. I am passionate about driving innovation and transformation, leading diverse teams, and delivering impact. I know well the thrills and challenges of working at the cutting edge of technology while juggling the demands of children and family. I have written extensively as a technical subject matter expert, and I hold more than sixty-five U.S. patents. I earned a Ph.D. at Stanford University in applied physics. I enjoyed my undergraduate experience at Yale University, where I met my husband. We now live in Westchester County, New York, with our three children.
